After 19 Years at FORTÉ, Dave Pecha Retires
Dave Pecha shook many hands on Friday as the day was winding down. He's retiring after 19 years on the job at FORTÉ.
People gathered in The Pickle — the kitchen at FORTÉ â€” to celebrate with Dave on his final day, with cake and drinks. The kitchen was bustling and Dave was making the rounds, talking to everybody in sight with a big smile and hearty laugh.
Dave, a service technician III, dedicated more than 25 years to the audiovisual industry. He's done everything from writing commercials to install work and more. But, he found his passion while working as a freelance installer.
"It was honestly my dream job," he said. "I love it as much as the day I started."
While working as a freelancer, he spent time with numerous integrators, but decided to finish out his career with FORTÉ. "I always said that if I took another job, it would be with FORTÉ."
For retirement, Dave plans to give attention to his many hobbies, including gardening, fishing and hunting.
